Kenyan singer, songwriter and beatmaker Wendy Kemunto has released a new track dubbed ‘Huru’ a dedication to survivors of sexual abuse.
‘Huru’ is a captivating, inspirational and spiritually uplifting tune laid on mellow instrumentals, telling a story of someone losing apart of themselves, hidden stories, loneliness, emptiness, powerless not trusting anyone, hate but as they say time heals every wound and at that right moment, through the love of the Most High one finds the strength to love again.
The singer who is also a survivor of sexual abuse pays special tribute to those who stood by her side with the release of ‘Huru’. ‘A special appreciation for all who fought for me, with me and by my side. ThankYou’ she writes on literature accompanying the song, ‘And a special appreciation for God who set me free..Aliniweka Huru’
