Starred: Cameroonian singer Reniss’ latest singles “Dashiki” & “Pilon”

After her successful hit song “La Sauce” , the Cameroonian singer Reniss recently released two other startling singles titled “Dashiki” and Pilon.


The impressive singer goes back to her cheerful Afro-pop style, after an electrifying performance on her previous dance tune on “Dashiki” a lively song about love, before charging up her fans with another dance tune “Pilon” where she celebrates women independence.

The two tracks portray the immense love the talented Cameroonian star has for her rich culture. She has mastered an excellent sound which fuses pop music with the rich traditional Cameroonian sounds in a consummate way.

The singer released visuals for “Dashiki”, the excellent video directed by Ndukong shows a love story that was brewed in a forest; the story basically tells a story of how her car broke down and a man she instantly has a crush dressed in Dashikis comes to fix it, then the rest is history.


The two tracks were released by New Belle Music and produced by Le Monstre, the same stable that put together her debut project, Afrikan Luv EP.

Reniss, who has been performing since she was 16 is a singer, songwriter from Mankon, Cameroon, who grew up in Douala. She is popularly known for her unique style that features traditional African music elements with pop styles
