Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung will be giving out free headsets to customers who pre-order the new Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones.
The new phones unveiled Sunday February 21, support the Gear VR headsets which were launched in 2015.
The new models launched at the Mobile World Congress have a similar design to the S6 range but come with: a MicroSD card slot, Bluetooth, 4G LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi and micro-USB port, the manufacturer has also introduced a new UI mode, called Edge Single Plus. Samsung has also made the curved screen edges twice as wide as before making it more appealing to the eye plus, the devices come with faster processors and higher capacity batteries.
Facebook also announced a new partnership with Samsung aimed at promoting use of virtual reality at the Barcelona event.
Samsung expects to boost sales with the new gadgets after a 19% decline in net profits recorded in 2015, but analyst express fears that the firm might not be able to change its fortunes since the new devices have no major features.
The smartphones will be on sale from March 11, 2016.
