Zambian-born Sydney based rapper Sampa The Great has
unveiled a new single ‘Freedom’ another of her charged music releases with powerful
messages. The song follows the release of ‘OMG’ and ‘Final Form’ all of which have
received enormous support and embody spirituality, mind-opening rhymes, self-discovery
and uplifting musical experiences.
‘Freedom’ picks off on a relaxed instrumental, a mix of
classic rock & blues with great strings casing the entire instrumental from
the start to the end, driven by stuttering drum beats, the rapper gets on the track
with thought and pride on a soulful track that is perfectly packaged to be
simple yet powerful. The song is about struggles that artists go through in the
music industry and how tough it is to balance between the art, earning a living
and compromises one is forced to make.
