If you thought the east African nation cannot host humor on one stage… well the joke is on you!
At least seven of the best African comedians will be headlining one of Kenya’s biggest comedy festival set to be held on July 29th at the Carnivore Gardens in Nairobi.
The festival which is a platform unifying Africa’s comedy. According to Laugh Industry Kenya, the entertainment company saw it fit to ‘venture beyond Kenya for a new experience to provide quality entertainment and bring African comedians on one platform’ a statement from the organizers read ‘The new venture is also set to challenge local talent to compete with top African counterparts’
The main performers line-up includes; Uganda’s Salvado, Nkusi Arthur (Rwanda), Carl Ncube (Zimbabwe), Eddie Kadi (DRC), Ndumiso Lindi(South Africa) and Daliso Chaponda (Malawi). Churchill born Daniel Ndambuki will be the host on the night that is promising to bring out th best of July.
Kenya’s popular comedians from Churchill Show MC Jessy, Hammo, Sleepy and Aman will be making special appearances.

Churchill is the most sought after comedian in Kenya. He is ranked number 14 among the 100 most influential Kenyans. Through his Churchill Live show, he has nurtured and created his own brand of standup comedy—East Africa’s popular comedy show and platform.
Salvado is the pride of Uganda when it comes to comedy! The man who once worked as a telecommunications engineer is now considered as one of the prominent names in East African comedy, to date winning numerous accolades and awards.
Carl Ncube is the funniest comedian from Zimbabwe. He has featured on several shows around the world. They include the acclaimed “Comedy Central’s International Comedy Festival” where Carl joined a cast of some of the best comedians in Africa, including Jeff Ross, Hannibal Buress, Trevor Noah and Aries Spears.
Ndumiso Lindi is a South African Standup comedian who first came to prominence when he won the amateur category in the Red Bull Comedy All Stars Comedy Challenge. He is today among South African comedians touring the world stage to perform comedy.
Daliso Chaponda is a Malawian top comedian who honed his craft in comedy clubs across the country.
Arthur Nkusi is a Kigali-born radio presenter at KISS FM, Rwanda’s debut representative in Big Brother Africa 9 “Hot Shots” Reality TV Show and renowned as Rwanda’s number one standup comedian.
Eddie Kadi is from DRC. In 2006 he won the BECA Award for Best Comedy Newcomer. He went on to stage a series of sold out solo concerts. In September 2010, he performed at London’s O2 Arena where he sold out the 13,000 arena.
